These pages are a treasuretrove of candid historical photos of WWII Army Soldiers shown while stationedin Oahu and Kauai in 1943-44. Most photos include hand-writtendescriptions by the original owner, a WWII Army veteran who served in thePacific Theater through 1945. The majority of the black & whitephotos have been archived using the preservative tabs so no glue or tapedamage. The historical photos depict the seldom seen interior of theliving quarters, a one of a kind grass hut in Kauai, sugar cane fields andsurrounding landscapes, and day to day activities. The personal pics reflectthe soldiers with their companion/guard dogs, and also recreational timeincluding a luau for soldiers. The pages come from the Army veteran’spersonal album of WWII memorabilia and have been carefully stored in a smokefree environment.
