Original WWII U.S. Army V-Mail correspondence and postal history lot.
Includes an original handwritten V-Mail letter dated June 1, 1943, sent by a U.S. Army serviceman to his sister in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
The V-Mail sheet features an original “PASSED BY U.S. ARMY EXAMINER 11122” censor stamp and retains the original handwritten wartime message.
Also included is an original War & Navy Departments V-Mail Service Official Business envelope, postmarked February 26, 1944.
Please note: the letter and envelope have different dates and are being sold together as a WWII V-Mail ephemera lot. They are not represented as an originally matched letter and envelope.
Authentic vintage condition with age-related toning, staining, folds, creases, edge wear and other signs of handling and storage. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition and details.
A wonderful piece of WWII military postal history and American home-front ephemera, ideal for collectors of U.S. Army memorabilia, V-Mail, wartime correspondence, military censor markings and WWII postal history.
Both pieces are original WWII-era items — not reproductions.
