Very good condition with original patina (or will need polished).No deep scratches, gouges, bends or heavy wear.These 3‑inch sterling pilot wings were worn by U.S. Army Air Corps and Army Air Force aviators — both officers and certain enlisted “flight officers” — during World War II, typically on the left shoulder of the flight jacket or uniform.

During World War II and into the early postwar years, the U.S. Army Air Corps and Air Force issued pilot wings in at least three standard sizes.

~3 inches (full‑size) – worn on flight jackets, tunics, and uniforms.

~2 inches – worn on the shirt (often called the “shirt sleeve order”), positioned above the left breast over the medal ribbons

~1 inch – worn on garrison or side caps, or used as novelty “sweetheart” items
