Vintage Snap-on KRA-65C Red Steel Tool Box with Sliding Top Tray, Made in USA, Alaska Estate Find
Up for sale is a vintage Snap-on KRA-65C mini red steel tool box with a sliding upper tray and divided lower compartments. It came out of an Alaska estate, where it was used to hold heavy lathe tool bits, and it carries plenty of working-shop character, including an old Alaska Airlines Air Cargo label on the lid.
Item Details:
- Model KRA-65C, stamped on the bottom: \"Snap-on Tools Corp, Kenosha, WI, USA 95\"
- Embossed Snap-on logo on the lid
- Sliding top tray over a lower section with divided compartments
- Chrome folding carry handle on top
- Front latch closes and holds the box shut
- Approximately 12\" wide x 7.5\" deep x 3.5\" tall
- Sold empty; no tools included

- Detroit Diesel Series 60 (lid)
- Alaska Airlines Air Cargo label marked ANC (lid) & dated Oct 4th, 2000
- Old tape residue wrapped around the box
- B&M Racing Products (front)
- \"I ♥ O&K,\" a Haulpak stamp-style sticker, and a cartoon sticker (inside lid)
Condition:
- Well-used, worn condition, but still usable
- Dings, dents, scratches, paint loss, and rust throughout (heaviest on the bottom)
- No key included, and the lock does not function.The catch on the top sliding tray that the lock latches to is missing or was removed, so the box would not lock even with a key
- Front clasp works, and the box can be carried by its top handle
- Stickers are worn, torn, and partially peeling
- Rear of the box has denting outward near the hinge.
