Three hand carved Asian wooden figurines
Hand-painted
Very nice detail
Amazing painted detail and carving.
One figure is a man hurting his ducks.
Another is a street vendor carrying his ware.
And the other is a woman who has her water bucket, and water bottles on her back.
6.25 inches in height
Widest pedestal is 2.5”
Longest pedestal is 7”
In very good condition.
I don’t know the history of these. I inherited they were found in an old rattan weaved basket.
I don’t know if they originally came with the basket, but they have been the basket for a very long time.
Basket is included in sale.
I could not find any similar figurines.
These belonged to 80+ year-old grandmother.
Only one issue I see, which is on the market vendor pole across his shoulder. There is a little stick that keeps his baskets from sliding down the pole.
It is missing.
All it is, is a toothpick, that’s been put in there and stained, which would be an easy replacement if you decide to. Or you can just hang the basket on there the end. Doesn’t affect the look.
Basket is darker under the lid compared to the outside where it been exposed to light.
It is in excellent condition.
9” x9”x4”.
Please view all photos as they are the rest of the description and show the condition of the figure.
