Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible Vintage Solid Cast Brass U.S. Navy Officer Insignia Door Knocker.
Measuring 6.25\"h × 6.75\"w, this heavy, sand-cast piece dates back to the World War II or early postwar era (circa 1940s–1950s) and is modeled after the iconic regulation U.S. Navy Officer cap badge design.
It features a beautifully detailed American bald eagle perched atop a patriotic stars-and-stripes shield, set against a framework of crossed naval anchors.
This piece is in exceptional shape for its age with no cracks, breaks, or structural damage.
It retains a gorgeous, authentic aged brass patina that highlights the intricate details of the feathers, stars, and rope texturing. It has been left unpolished to preserve its vintage character, but could easily be shined up if desired.
The heavy, front-mounted striking ring swings smoothly and functions perfectly.
