Up for sale is a beautiful vintage 1950s Mid-Century Modern Southern Belle porcelain lady figurine, imported by Arnart Creations. This elegant piece depicts a classic crinoline lady styled in a voluminous, sweeping pink ballgown accented by gleaming hand-painted gold gilt borders along the skirt tiers and base. She gracefully cradles a hornucopia-style floral basket packed with finely detailed yellow and red roses amidst green foliage.
The bottom of the base features the authentic stamped blue crossed-arrows hallmark, the production mold number S8429, and includes green felt protective strips to safeguard your tabletops and shelving. It is a stunning display piece perfect for collectors of vintage Japanese porcelain, mid-century kitsch, or cottagecore and shabby chic design aesthetics.

Did You Know...The blue crossed-arrows mark on the bottom of this piece was a clever marketing strategy by Arnart Imports. Introduced in 1953, this specific hallmark was designed to deliberately resemble the famous historical \"crossed swords\" mark used by elite German porcelain houses like Meissen and Kalk. It allowed post-war Japanese potteries to showcase their high-quality craftsmanship to mid-century American buyers by mirroring the classic elegance of traditional European porcelain. Today, these \"crossed arrow\" pieces have become a highly sought-after collecting category all their own!That\'s pretty cool!Gina
