Today I am offering this amazing vintage bundle of 1970-'80s Christmas gift package tags.
This is a lot of 340 tags.
Some are gummed , some are on strings. Some are bifold cards. There are 5 separate packs.
There is a great variety, many different designs, some with multiples of the same pattern.
There are two different packages of EUREKA brand with the big blue-eyed Santa head peeking over the top of the die-cut bubble packages.
They were made in the USA, Troy, PA. They have 100 tags per pack including: 56 to-from cards, 40 gift cards, and 4 novelty cards.
The total between the two packages is 200 pieces.
These are probably mid 1970s.
Price tags are from SupeRx at 97¢ each.
∆ SupeRx went out of business in the 80s after a hostile takeover. They were eventually absorbed by CVS.
There are also 2 packages of Cleo brand called "Designer Classics".
They feature old-timey looking silhouette images on die-cut bubble packs.
They were made in the USA, Memphis, TN.
They have 20 tags per pack including: 17 large cards and 3 folders.
Price tags are from Skaggs at 69¢ each.
These are the oldest ones in the bundle.
Very early 1970s, maybe even '60s.
∆ Skaggs went out of business in 1979.
The last package is from AmeriCard, American Greetings.
It is a pack of 100 including: 2 folded tags, 6 strung tags, 45 gummed seals, and 47 assorted tags.
The package is dated MCMLXXXII (1982). Made in the USA, Cleveland, Ohio.
The price printed on the package is $1.89.
Everything is new in the original, sealed packaging.
There is no writing or other damage to the packages.
They are clean, bright and colorful without fading.
The plastic bubbles are still clear.
They have only minimal storage shelf wear, such as a few minor creases, corner and edge wear, and a bit of yellowing on the back of the Cleo packs.
They are in remarkable condition for being paper products 45-55 years old.
