A striking example of late-1980s Postmodern functional design, the platter has a fluid asymmetrical oval form with broad architectural ends and a highly polished aluminum finish. Model ML-7515.

Original underside label remains attached and identifies the piece as METAAL / Michael Lax Design / Grainware, dated 1989.

Measures approximately 17" long x 12" wide based on photographed measurements.

Designed as functional serveware as well as a sculptural tabletop object. Manufacturer's original label states that METAAL may be used in the oven, broiler or on the stovetop and should never be used in a microwave.

Condition: Vintage preowned condition with visible surface scuffing, scratches, marks and areas of discoloration/patina on both the upper serving surface and underside consistent with age and previous use. We have photographed the surface closely so condition can be evaluated clearly. Original paper manufacturer's label remains on underside. Please review all photos.

A fantastic piece of collectible 1980s Postmodern / modernist tabletop design that works equally well as a serving platter or sculptural display piece.
