A striking Soviet-era portsigar (cigarette case) crafted from silvered/silver-toned base metal, not solid silver.
Front panel: A finely detailed repoussé (embossed) panorama of the Leningrad waterfront, featuring the iconic Admiralty spire, riverside buildings, and a bridge over the Neva. Above the skyline sits the \"Hero City\" star emblem framed by a laurel wreath and ribbon, with \"ЛЕНИНГРАД\" (Leningrad) engraved along the lower border.
Reverse panel: A raised depiction of a classical triumphal arch (Narva Triumphal Gate), a well-known Leningrad landmark, set within a smooth polished field.
Interior: Two compartments with the original woven elastic cigarette-holding bands still intact. The right-hand panel carries a small embossed building motif.
