Vintage Silex Double Bubble Glass Vacuum Coffee Maker – Pyrex Glass – Patented Design
Vintage Silex three-piece glass vacuum coffee maker featuring the classic double-bubble design, clear glass chambers, black handle, and metal collar marked “TRADE MARK SILEX.” The collar bears patent numbers 1,859,614 and 2,072,934.
CONDITION: Pre-owned vintage condition. Please review all photographs carefully for details of the glass, handle, collar, filter, and overall condition. Vintage glass as well as plastic and rubber/plastic pieces may show signs of age and use. No chips or cracks. The metal collar attached to handle is upside down (does not affect handle). There is discoloration under the black piece around the top of the pot.

This distinctive coffee maker uses the traditional vacuum brewing method. Water is heated in the lower glass chamber and rises into the upper chamber to mix with coffee grounds. As the lower chamber cools, the brewed coffee is drawn back through the glass filter.
