Vintage Selangor Pewter jug, marked on the base with the crossed hammers shield, \"Selangor Pewter\" and \"97%\" tin content.
The mark dates this to before 1992, when the company became Royal Selangor after receiving its royal warrant. Selangor Pewter was founded in Kuala Lumpur in 1885 and built its reputation on Malaysian tin.
Clean modernist form with a bulbous body, pinched pouring lip and high swept strap handle. Good weight and a bright polished surface.
