Nautical Coastal Decor, York PAVintage Pewtarex clam shell serving bowl in sand-cast pewter. Made in York, Pennsylvania — marked "Pewtarex" on the bottom. Large scallop shell shape, perfect as a serving bowl, catchall, or coastal decor centerpiece. Good vintage condition with patina and light wear consistent with age. Mid-20th century piece. The deep fluting and organic ridges perfectly capture the coastal aesthetic of a giant Tridacna clam shell. Because Pewtarex was manufactured using a non-toxic aluminum-based alloy rather than true pewter, this bowl is entirely food-safe. It is an excellent collectible piece for serving cold seafood salad, chips and dip, or simply acting as a striking coastal centerpiece.
