Vintage Mid-Century Rococo Oval Wall Plaques Pair – Fragonard / Boucher Style Pastoral Courting Scenes on Silk Fabric, Ornate Faux Gold Frames with Convex Glass & Blue Filigree Lace
• Style & Aesthetics: Classic mid-20th century Rococo Revival style. The plaques showcase beautifully detailed, printed pastoral romantic vignettes reminiscent of 18th-century French masters like Jean-Honoré Fragonard or François Boucher. One plaque depicts a courtyard musical gathering featuring a guitarist, and the other shows an outdoor courtyard scene with figures admiring a bird's nest.
• Materials & Construction: The detailed scenes are printed on a fine, silky texture fabric backing, encircled by an elegant molded blue and white filigree scroll lace pattern border. The art is set behind traditional convex (bubble) glass inside heavy-duty, molded composite/syroco frames finished in an antiqued faux-gold gilt.
• Backing Detail: The reverse sides are fully sealed with thick dark backing paper and secured with vintage flat framing nails. Heavy-duty metal loop hangers are securely installed on each plaque for immediate wall hanging.
• Dimensions:
• Height: Approx. 17 inches (from the top finial to the bottom scroll foot)
• Width: Approx. 11 inches at the widest points of the frame
