Vintage carved wood roadrunner bird sculpture featuring a sleek, stylized Mid-Century Modern/Southwestern design.
Beautiful dark brown wood with lighter natural grain variations and a very smooth polished finish. The long streamlined tail, pointed beak and swept-back crest give this piece a particularly attractive profile.
The wood and carving style appear consistent with Mexican/Sonoran ironwood carvings, although the piece is unsigned and the exact wood species and maker cannot be confirmed.
