Stunning Vintage Mexican Dripware Pottery Bowls – Coordinating Set of 6
Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible set of six (6) vintage Mexican dripware pottery bowls. Originating from the artisan traditions of Oaxaca, Mexico, these mid-century folk art pieces feature a vibrant, traditional tri-color palette of copper green, rich iron brown, and warm amber yellow over a cream base.
Because these are completely handcrafted, no two bowls are identical. Each piece showcases a unique variation of the traditional "chorreado" (slipped/dripped) technique, ranging from feathered starbursts and combed fan shapes to a gorgeous central floral motif. Finding a cohesive, matching set of six in this style is incredibly rare, making this lot perfect for collectors or interior decorators looking for a striking wall gallery layout or shelf display.
Condition Report:
Good vintage condition overall. These low-fired terracotta pieces are brittle by nature, and minor "fleabites," glaze flakes, or chips along the rims are completely normal and consistent with their age and handmade origin (please review all photos closely for exact cosmetic details). There are no major structural cracks or large repairs.
See photos for details. All the bowls are rough on the rims, with some chips. There are closeups of the chips in the photos.
Note: In alignment with vintage Mexican folk pottery of this era, these pieces are recommended for decorative display, as a catch-all, or for dry, wrapped items only.
