Antique mallard duck framed wall art: an original early 1900s German postcard, newly matted and framed at 9x11 inches and ready to display.
This original postcard shows a mallard drake landing beside a hen and her ducklings among reeds and wildflowers, with soft blue hills behind them. I matted and framed it myself in a wood-grain frame with a deep forest green outer mat and a cream inner mat that bring out the greens of the marsh.
WAYS TO DISPLAY IT
Hang it horizontally or vertically using the hangers on two sides, or stand it on a shelf, mantel or desk with the fold-out easel back. It suits cabin, lake house, lodge, den, entryway and reading-nook walls, and its small size works well in a gallery wall.
GREAT GIFT FOR
Duck hunters, bird lovers, anglers, postcard collectors, and anyone with a cabin or lake house. It makes a good Christmas, birthday, Father's Day or housewarming gift, and it arrives ready to display with nothing else to buy.
STYLE
Traditional naturalist wildlife art with a rustic, lodge and cottage feel. Rich early-1900s print color in a classic marsh scene.
