Made exclusive for McKesson Liquor Co, New York NY, this vintage Liquore Galliano guardsman figural set traces back to McKesson's own Liquor Division, once based at 111 8th Ave in Manhattan before the company moved west in the 1960s and exited the liquor business entirely in 1988. That makes this a rare surviving piece from the era when one of America's largest wholesale distributors had its own dedicated liquor arm in New York City.
The set features the brand's signature guardsman in full ceremonial uniform, complete with plumed hat, crossed white gloves, gold buttons, and the classic Liquore Galliano oval base in white with red lettering.
Large figure stands 17 inches tall with arms crossed in a confident pose and fine hand painted detail on the uniform and sash. Missing its staff.
Small "mini me" companion stands 8 inches tall in the same uniform and pose style. Nose tip chip.
