Vintage Lefton Bluebird Bank #267 Rhinestone Eyes MCM Kitschy Anthropomorphic
Vintage Mid-Century Lefton Bluebird coin bank, model #267, with wonderful kitschy anthropomorphic styling. This charming ceramic bird has a sweet expressive face, sparkling rhinestone eyes, blue and white coloring, a pink flower on its head, painted feather details, and a red bow at the chest.
A great example of whimsical 1950s Lefton Japan décor and highly collectible mid-century kitsch.
The coin slot is located on the back of the bird’s head, and the original removable rubber stopper is still present on the underside. The bottom retains the original red Lefton foil label and is marked 6” tall

Condition:
Good vintage condition overall and displays very nicely. There are a few small age-related nicks/flea bites, including a small nick at the tip/edge of the beak, a small nick at the tip of a wing, and a small chip at the very back/tail area that is mainly visible from underneath. There are also a few tiny areas of surface wear consistent with age.
Both rhinestone eyes are present. Original foil label remains attached. Original rubber stopper is present and removable; it fits a little loosely due to age.
