Condition: Slude Ruler in very good condition while case is in good shape with damage
Description
Vintage Keuffel & Esser K&E N4058W Beginner’s Slide Rule with its original green leatherette storage case.
This classic approximately 10 inch wooden slide rule was manufactured in the United States by Keuffel & Esser and was designed as an introductory slide rule for students learning mathematical calculations. The face includes multiple mathematical scales, while the reverse features a printed table of engineering conversions and equivalents.
The center slide moves smoothly and properly, and the clear plastic cursor also slides smoothly along the rule. The wooden rule itself remains in very good condition with no cracks, chips, warping, or missing pieces noted.
The original green leatherette case is included. The case shows age and use, most notably damage and material loss around the open upper end as shown in the photographs.
A great original example for a vintage scientific instrument collection, engineering or mathematics display, classroom history collection, or K&E collector.
