This piece was discovered at an estate sale, entirely unused, pristine, and still wrapped in its original paper inside the original box.Produced by the historic Ebisuya Ono Sensha-sho (蛭子屋 小野染彩所) workshop in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, this workshop carries on a 400-year-old traditional hand-dyeing technique dating back to the samurai era of the Nanbu clan.Features:
- Authentic Japanese Indigo: Features a rich, deep indigo-dyed blue background with striking white stencil work.
- Traditional Motifs: Features two prominent hand-stenciled diamond motifs framed by beautifully detailed geometric borders.
- Condition: Brand New In Box (NIB). Only removed carefully to verify measurements and take listing photos. The original presentation paper and box are included. The box has some wear. Has shown in photos.
