TRANSLATION:JUBILEE YEAR 1950
Almighty and Eternal God, with all our hearts we thank You for the great gift of the Holy Year.
May this Holy Year be for all a time of purification and sanctification of the inner life, a year of great return and great forgiveness. Grant to those who suffer persecution for the faith the spirit of fortitude, that they may be indissolubly united to Christ and His Church.
Grant, O Lord, peace to our days—peace to souls, peace to families, peace to the homeland, peace to nations.
Grant the sick resignation and health; the young, the strength of faith; maidens, purity; fathers, prosperity and the holiness of the family; mothers, the effectiveness of their educational mission; orphans, affectionate care; and to refugees and prisoners, their homeland and Your grace—in preparation for and as a pledge of Your happiness in heaven. Amen.
