Vintage Italian Maritime Shipping Lines Advertising Ashtray – Verbano Laveno
Unusual vintage Italian ceramic advertising ashtray featuring four historic Italian shipping companies: Italia, Lloyd Triestino, Adriatica and Tirrenia.
The center features a period ship illustration, while the four shipping-line names are arranged around the rim between four cigarette rests.
Bottom marked “Edizione Puselli & Profumo – Genova” and “Verbano – Laveno – Made in Italy.”
Measures approximately 5¼ inches in diameter and approximately 1¼–1½ inches high.
Good vintage condition with age-related wear. The advertising decoration and central ship image show fading and surface wear, particularly the Tirrenia and Italia lettering. Some discoloration and normal wear are present on the underside/foot. Please examine photographs carefully for overall condition.
An interesting piece of vintage Italian ocean-liner, shipping-line and maritime advertising memorabilia.
