Charming vintage pair of folk art bird bookends featuring raised copper repoussé-style birds, flowers and foliage mounted on painted wood.
Each bookend has its own coordinating bird design with wonderful hand-worked detail, small nailhead accents and a warm aged copper patina. The wood is painted in a distressed cream and turquoise/sea-green finish, giving the pair a colorful rustic, bohemian and mid-century folk-art look.
The bookends have sturdy metal L-shaped bases and are approximately 7" H x 5.5" W x 3" D each.
These are vintage and show age-appropriate wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, paint loss, discoloration/patina to the copper, and wear to the bases and backs. The aged and distressed finish is part of their character.
