Vintage Ceramic Arts Studio (Madison, Wisconsin) salt and pepper shaker pair. A boy and girl in European folk costume: the boy in a green cap, black vest and green trousers, and the girl in a green headscarf and striped skirt, both in black boots. One base is stamped CERAMIC ARTS STUDIO.
Condition: Used, from an estate. Both cork stoppers are present. There is paint wear on the black boots and base edges, a few small flecks of loss on the boy's black vest, and light wear consistent with age (see photos). No chips or cracks noted.
