This is a beautiful, authentic vintage cast iron Boston Terrier / Bulldog doorstop. This is a highly collectible one-piece, hollow back casting crafted by noted artisan Steve Odor. The piece features a crisp, distinct number "1" foundry alignment stamp raised on the backside of the front leg, identifying it as a genuine Odor piece rather than a modern reproduction.
CONDITION & PATINA - 100% Original Paint: Features a gorgeous, completely untouched original paint scheme. The white fields have naturally oxidized over the decades into a warm, highly desirable creamy tan/yellowish patina.
Authentic Floor Wear: Natural paint loss and light, honest wear are visible primarily around the paws and base edge from years of actual household use.
Backside Patina: The unpainted hollow back retains a dark, stable, and completely natural antique rust patina that acts as a protective crust and guarantees its age. The paint has not been touched up, restored, or clear-coated. It is in beautiful, display-ready vintage condition.
