Offered is a group of four vintage nautical / fisherman folk-art figures, including one signed C.O. Trygg wood carving, two additional hand-carved Scandinavian-style wooden figures, and one painted ship captain figure. The signed carving is marked “C.O. Trygg” on the underside of the base and is attributed to Swedish woodcarver Carl Olof Trygg, known for Scandinavian flat-plane character carvings. The other two natural-wood figures are unsigned but are closely related in style, with faceted hand carving, expressive faces, beards, caps and traces of original painted decoration. The fourth figure is a painted nautical captain with white beard, pipe, peaked cap, double-breasted coat and sleeve insignia. It may be from a different maker but complements the group nicely.Approximate height is 5–6 inches, with the painted captain the tallest.Condition: Good vintage condition overall with age-related wear, surface rubbing, scratches, fading and paint loss. The wood carvings retain their rustic hand-carved character. One figure is signed on the underside as shown. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition and details.A great group for a collector of C.O. Trygg carvings, Scandinavian folk art, nautical décor, fisherman figures or maritime collectibles.Sold together as the exact group of four shown.
