Vintage Bullet Pencil John Deere Farm Equipment Paul Genin Co. Belleville WI for sale

Vintage Pre-1968 John Deere Four-Legged Deer Advertising Bullet Pencil, Paul Genin Co., Belleville, Wisconsin

Original vintage John Deere advertising bullet pencil with classic yellow barrel featuring the green arched \"John Deere\" wordmark and four-legged leaping deer logo, distributed by Paul Genin Co., the local John Deere dealer in Belleville, Wisconsin; good used condition with normal age-related wear
The four-legged deer logo is the definitive dating detail — John Deere used the four-legged leaping deer exclusively from the early 20th century until 1968, when the logo was updated to a two-legged version; this pencil is therefore confirmed pre-1968, placing it in the heart of the classic John Deere green-and-yellow era
John Deere bullet pencils featuring the four-legged deer logo are among the most actively collected pieces of John Deere advertising ephemera, with dealer-specific examples — naming the local dealership like Paul Genin Co. — being especially prized for their regional specificity
John Deere was founded in 1837 by blacksmith John Deere in Grand Detour, Illinois, when he invented the self-scouring steel plow that transformed prairie farming; the company has been headquartered in Moline, Illinois since 1848 and remains one of the world\'s largest agricultural equipment manufacturers
A great crossover collectible for collectors of John Deere advertising memorabilia, vintage farm equipment ephemera, Wisconsin dealer history, or classic American bullet pencils

Item Condition: Overall good used condition, some signs of normal use - see photos for a full condition assessment.
