Vintage Binney & Smith Atlantic White Chalk Crayon No 307 One Gross (144 Sticks)
Chalk is packed in sawdust within the box, presumably to protect against breakage of the individual sticks.
There is no date anywhere on the cardboard box, so I\'m uncertain of its true age. The box has minor edge/corner wear and minor staining from age, but has a great vintage look.
Please see pictures for details of item and condition.
Fun fact:Edwin Binney (1866 – 1934) was an American entrepreneur and inventor who created the first dustless white chalk. Along with his cousin C. Harold Smith (1860 – 1931), Binney was the founder of handicrafts company Binney & Smith, which marketed his later invention of the Crayola crayon.
