Vintage Anheuser-Busch Corkscrew Williamson Self Puller I Need Not Pull Keep Turning
Description:
Vintage Anheuser-Busch Advertising Corkscrew by Williamson Co.
Classic late 1890s – early 1900s self-pulling corkscrew made by the Williamson Company of Newark, New Jersey. These were popular promotional items given out by Anheuser-Busch when beer bottles still used corks.
Markings:
- Wooden handle stamped ANHEUSER-BUSCH
- Bottom of handle reads NEED NOT PULL KEEP TURNING
- Metal shaft marked WILLIAMSON CO. NEWARK, N.J. PATENT
This is the desirable “self-puller” (bell-type) design. Once the frame seats on the bottle neck, continued turning extracts the cork without needing to pull.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with expected age wear. The wood handle shows some surface wear and fading of the lettering, but the Anheuser-Busch and “I Need Not Pull Keep Turning” markings remain clearly readable. Metal parts have natural patina. Original string with wooden bead is still attached. Please see all photos for exact condition.
A solid, authentic piece of pre-Prohibition Anheuser-Busch and corkscrew history.
**Measurements:** Approximately 6 inches overall length.
Ships carefully packed with tracking.
Please feel free to message with any questions. Thanks for looking!
Hello and welcome!
I’m not a professional reseller. I’m a semi-retired empty nester who is learning to let go of some of my “treasures” and things I’ve collected over the years — and hopefully make a little extra spending money along the way!
Many of the items in my shop were originally purchased new and have had just one owner. I’ve taken care of my things, but as I simplify and make room for the next chapter, it’s time for some of them to find new homes.
All items come from a non-smoking home.
I do my best to accurately describe each item and point out any flaws, wear, or imperfections I notice. I also take plenty of photos so you can see exactly what you’re purchasing. If you have a question or need additional information, please feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help!
📦 Shipping: I ship Tuesday through Saturday and carefully package your purchase for its journey to you.
Thank you so much for stopping by, supporting my little adventure, and giving one of my treasures a new home. I truly appreciate every purchase!
Happy shopping!
