Vintage Abraham Lincoln Memorial Bridge Blair Nebraska NE Postcard
Look at this piece of highway history. Back in the day, saving 30 miles was a massive deal, considering that was practically a cross country trek in a Model T. You are looking at the mighty Abraham Lincoln Memorial Bridge stretching over the Missouri River at Blair, Nebraska, fully prepared to save you time, miles, and dollars as loudly advertised on the back.
It is in great unposted condition with just some minor edge wear and soft corners you would expect from a piece of paper surviving nearly a century. Someone named Phyllis Terry left her signature in pen on the back, but otherwise, it is clean and sharp. A prime slice of early American infrastructure and a solid addition for anyone who collects authentic Lincoln Highway memorabilia.
As an authentic vintage piece, this item may show typical signs of age, which can include minor edge wear, soft or bumped corners, slight yellowing, and light surface blemishes. Please carefully examine all provided high-resolution photos for the most accurate and definitive representation of the item\'s condition prior to purchasing. Trivia Corner
Notice the bold red ink used for the number 30 right in the middle of the sky on the front. That was not a printing error. It was deliberately stamped in a stark contrasting color to scream out the exact mileage you would save by taking the newly paved Blair shortcut instead of dragging your tires all the way down through Omaha.
