The first photo is a collage created to show the various images included. The collage itself is not in the album.
This album documents the Space Shuttle Challenger launch on January 28, 1986 in a series of color photographs. It starts with Challenger on the launch pad, then shows liftoff, ascent, the breakup, and the smoke trails afterward. The final page has the familiar crew photograph.
The first page has handwritten information identifying the Space Shuttle Challenger along with the date and launch time.
I bought this photo album years ago as part of a box lot at an sale in Florida. There is no name anywhere in the album, so I do not know who originally owned it or who took the photographs.
I have never removed any of the photographs from the album because I did not want to risk damaging them.
They are still attached exactly as they were when I found it, so I have not seen the backs of the photos.
The album pages have yellowed with age, but the photographs themselves have held their color very well.
It is really an incredible album to look through because the photographs tell the story of the launch from beginning to end.
I am not a space memorabilia expert, so I am selling it exactly as I found it. Please look closely at all of the photos, and I am happy to provide additional pictures if needed.
