This vintage 1982 hand-painted ceramic Christmas ornament holds a recessed winter scene: a red cabin with snow-heavy roofline and glowing windows, a tall evergreen, a red split-rail fence, and snowcapped mountains under a teal sky. The rest of the ball is coated in sparkling white glitter snow, so the scene looks like a window into a snowy valley. It\'s signed and dated by the artist, \"Sharon 82\',\" making it a one-of-a-kind piece of handmade Christmas folk art.
Key features:
- Signed and dated \"Sharon 82\'\" on the front
- Hand-painted winter cabin landscape set into a recessed, dimensional front panel
- Snowy cabin, evergreen tree, red fence, and mountain backdrop
- Sparkling white glitter snow finish around the scene and back
- Gold-painted molded cap with gold cord hanger
- Solid ceramic piece at 5.3 oz, about 3 inches in diameter
- Over 40 years old and handmade, so no two are alike
- Suits rustic cabin, lodge, or vintage Christmas décor
- A good fit for collectors of 1980s hobby-ceramic and folk art ornaments
Condition: Pre-owned vintage. The painted scene is bright and complete, and the signature is clear. There is light soiling and a few specks on the glitter coating, and wear on the gold cap paint with white showing at the edges. \"JoAnn\" is handwritten on top of the cap. The cord hanger is frayed but secure. No cracks. See all photos for exact condition.
Someone painted this scene by hand back in 1982, and it\'s survived over four decades of Christmases. Give it a spot on your tree this year.
