Description
Beautiful vintage 1979 Arnart Imports teapot, marked SATSUMA, featuring an ornate peacock and floral design with a woven rattan-style swing handle.
The body is finished in a warm ivory glaze with richly detailed decoration. A colorful peacock stands among chrysanthemums, roses, flowering branches and foliage, while deep rust-red decorative bands with gold floral patterns circle the upper and lower portions of the pot.
The fitted lid has two oval finger openings and additional hand-painted-style floral decoration. Gold accents appear around the spout, lid, and other details, and the wrapped natural-fiber handle gives the piece a wonderful Asian-inspired vintage character.

Condition
Good vintage condition overall with age-related surface and finish wear.
The woven handle shows natural age and use, and there is light wear to some of the gold decoration consistent with a piece of this age. Please examine all photographs closely for exact condition.
