Up for sale is an authentic, completely original Vintage 1978 US Military M1 Helmet Liner, proudly manufactured by the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company during the late Cold War era. This collectible piece features a high-pressure resin-fiberglass body crisp with its factory-embossed top injection mold centering cross, and the interior retains its faint, genuine factory ink contract stamp dated February/March 1978 alongside the military specification MIL-L-43343 imprint. The interior configuration is equipped with the updated 1972-pattern removable suspension system using original silver-toned spring clips, and it comes complete with a period-correct, field-swapped 1980s Stemaco sweatband/headband bearing the distinctive DLA 100 contract prefix code. Showing honest, un-restored field wear, minor scuffs, and expected light fraying on the nearly 50-year-old canvas webbing, this liner is entirely free of structural cracks or modern modifications, making it a stellar textbook addition for any serious militaria collector or historical reenactor looking to complete a late-20th-century helmet setup.Be sure to visit and explore our store to discover an array of exceptional historical artifacts, tactical gear, and authentic military collectibles.
