About the ad
This vintage 1970s Sonia Rykiel Paris original print ad captures the French designer's signature blend of sensuality and minimalist chic at the height of her influence. The black-and-white magazine advertisement features a dynamic model mid-stride in a dramatic open cardigan coat with Rykiel's iconic stripe detailing, strappy heels, and an architectural Parisian interior setting. Sonia Rykiel — the so-called 'Queen of Knits' — transformed French ready-to-wear in this era, making this collectible ad a genuine artifact of 1970s European fashion culture. A refined addition to any fashion or vintage advertising collection.
