Rare piece of Tiki bar history:
Authentic vintage Kon-Tiki Ports Ku tiki mug produced for the historic Polynesian-themed restaurants located in Chicago and Boston.
Designed by Steve Crane Associates, this sculptural ceramic cocktail mug features a dramatic carved Ku-style face, textured brown body, and dark glazed rim, interior, and base. It is marked “Kon-Tiki Ports Chicago-Boston” on the back and “Designed by S. Crane” on the underside.
Dating to approximately the 1960s–1970s, this is an appealing piece of original mid-century restaurantware and Polynesian pop history. It would make an excellent addition to a vintage tiki collection, home bar, retro cocktail display, or mid-century décor collection.
