Scandinavian blue and reddish-pink set of matching ceramic beer mugs/tankards by Elle Karamikk. Model number #899-M2. 1950s/1960s Mid-Century Modern. Glazed Redware Ceramic Art Pottery. Scandinavian / Danish Modern Folk Art featuring vibrant, hand-decorated sgraffito folk art patterns over glazed red clay. Large 18 oz mugs, approximately 5” tall. Both pieces feature the authentic, handwritten \"899-M2 Norway Elle\" studio mark on the bottom. Perfect addition for a Scandinavian art pottery collector looking to complete a color set.The blue tankard has a noticeable chip and vertical hairline crack running down from the chip on the rim. It should only be used as a decorative piece. It still holds structure and displays beautifully from the front, but is being sold as-is due to this defect. The pink mug is in good condition.
