This fantastic old western American handcrafted & hand engraved belt buckle is dated 1959 and imprinted on the lower banner “1st Ann. Kiwanis Rodeo, Fallon, Nevada”. The top banner was lightly engraved with a name, but it is hard to read with the naked eye. Enlarging our photo will show the faint remnants of the name.
The buckle was manufactured in the USA by the highly respected Irvine & Jachens Company and features intricate hand engraving, an interesting scalloped trim and what we believe are arrow or pointed leaf shaped corner accents, which we have not come across on one of these buckles ever before. It’s definitely a rare issue and one that you will likely never come across again……perfect for a classic old western American belt buckle collection. Of course, it would also be great to wear on your belt……it still looks and works fantastic. The buckle measures a large 4” x 2 3/4”, fits belts up to 1 1/2” wide and weighs about 80 grams or 2.8 ounces on our scale. Shipping will be USPS ground advantage package, insured.
