Offered is one of the nicest designed nursing school pins I have come across. Pin displays the Rhode Island flag logo of an fouled anchor with HOPE ribbon at the top floating on the sea with sail ships on the water all on a white enamel background all of which is framed with dark blue enamel which reads: RHODE ISLAND HOSPITAL SCHOOL OF NURSING. There is no stamped or moulded decoration in this pin as the entire pin is hand crafted including openwork and chased decoration. Inscription on back which reads: D.F. BYRNES 2636 1952. Excellent condition with only minor bends to the small ribbon ends at the bottom near the 10K mark. 5.4 grams. A true gem welcome in any collection!
