Vintage Johnson & Johnson First Aid Autokit metal automobile first-aid kit dating to approximately the 1940s–1950s, with a substantial amount of its period contents still inside. Comparable examples of this style are generally dated to that period.
+1
The blue, cream and red metal case measures approximately 7½ inches wide by 5 inches tall and retains the original printed contents information inside the lid.
Included are several vintage Johnson & Johnson medical items and packaging shown in the photos, including Red Cross bandages, tourniquet box, ammonia inhalant packet, rolled bandage/gauze, scissors and First Aid Guide, along with other contents.
An especially interesting feature is the original Simmons Pharmacy label from 5820 West 38th Avenue, Wheatridge, Colorado, giving this particular kit some additional local pharmacy provenance.
Excellent display piece for a collection of vintage medical advertising, Johnson & Johnson memorabilia, automotive accessories, pharmacy advertising or mid-century Americana.
All medical contents are vintage collectibles/display items only and are NOT intended for medical use.
CONDITION
Authentic vintage condition with considerable age-related wear. The metal case has scratches, paint loss, staining, oxidation/rust and edge wear. Interior paperwork has staining and age discoloration. Several original/period medical supplies remain, but the kit does not appear to contain every item on the original contents list, so it is being sold as incomplete and exactly as pictured.
