Vintage 1941 WWII Political Cartoon Clipping \"Holding the Bag\" Hitler MussoliniThis striking World War II editorial cartoon depicts Adolf Hitler as a burglar stuffing silverware and stolen goods into his coat pockets from a drawer labeled \"EUROPE.\" Standing beside him is a much smaller, subservient Benito Mussolini holding open an empty burlap sack. Hitler turns to him with a speech bubble that reads: \"You just hold the bag.\"The piece serves as a powerful historical commentary on the unequal Axis alliance, satirizing Mussolini\'s role as a subordinate accomplice left to take the blame and consequences (\"holding the bag\") while Nazi Germany stripped Europe of its wealth and sovereignty.Title:Holding the Bag
