Very nice condition 1.25\" diameter pinback button for the mid 1930\'s
This is a lithographed tin pinback button made by the Greenduck Co. of Chicago. It carries the duck logo, \"Pat. Feb 13 1917\" (a patent date, not the date it was made), and two union labels, one for Lithographers Local No. 4 Chicago and one for a union label. Museum records show Green Duck Metal Stamping Co. operated in Chicago in starting in 1906.
The Hudson Motor Car Company introduced an optional \"Electric Hand\" gear shifter on its 1935 models, a remote-control system that let the driver change gears with a small steering-column control and electric actuation instead of the usual floor lever.
This is just the start of Vintage Pinback Button sales that I will be starting. All the buttons I will be listing are from my grandfathers lifelong collection dating from 1890-1960 or so.
Keep checking back for more.
