Up for sale is a vintage 1920s–1930s Art Deco Porcelain Half Doll (Pincushion Doll). Popular during the Roaring Twenties, these china half-torso figures were attached to silk or velvet pincushions, whisk brooms, or vanity box lids.
She features a classic flapper pose with both hands resting on her hips, a light pastel blue sleeveless bodice adorned with a charming 3D-molded pink rose flower at her shoulder, wavy molded strawberry-blonde hair, and hand-painted facial detailing. The base features 4 original attachment holes around the waist for sewing onto a cushion base.
Condition Details:
Porcelain & Glaze: Overall very good vintage condition with a glossy glaze. No chips, cracks, or repairs on the figure or arms.
Paint & Details: Pastel blue glaze and strawberry-blonde hair remain bright. Pink rose corsage detail is fully intact.
Base: Base rim and sewing holes are clean and intact. Shows tiny black specking/firing marks on the lower back glaze inherent to original manufacturing (photo #2).
Height: Approx. 3.25\" tall
