Here is a very rare offering from an old former teaching collection. A fascinating and extremely rare limb bone, probably a radius or a tibia, of the dicynodont (mammal-like) reptile Oudenodon bainii, from the Late Permian, Karoo Group of South West Africa. Oudenodon bainii is an extinct, tuskless dicynodont therapsid that lived during the Late Permian period (around 259 to 252 million years ago) in southern Africa ,This bone is from a juvenile specimen. Limited Material from this site only has become recently available when it had never been seen nor available before. So heres your chance to grab a piece as once they dry up you will not be able to get an example of a Dicynodont fossil from any other site. A Permian staple that is a must for any collection of classic and iconic prehistoric animal types!
