This Edwardian-era print was illustrated by Leslie Ward under his famous pseudonym \"Spy\" and published as Men of the Day No. 902 in the celebrated Vanity Fair caricature series.
Sir Frederick Peel was a British politician and longtime Railway Commissioner. He was also the son of Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel, giving this print additional historical interest for collectors of British political and railway history.
The full-length caricature shows Peel in formal Victorian dress and is an excellent example of the distinctive Vanity Fair color lithographs produced during the early 20th century.
