Vintage 1950s 20 Mule Team Borax Laundry Box featuring TV star Rosemary DeCamp
Fantastic original mid-century 20 Mule Team Borax package with wonderful period advertising graphics featuring actress and television personality Rosemary DeCamp.
The front features the classic red 20 Mule Team BORAX lettering, mule-team wagon graphic and “Nature’s Sweetener for Laundry” advertising. The reverse features a large Rosemary DeCamp advertisement promoting the company’s “Borax-Sweet Wash,” along with vintage washing-machine graphics and laundry instructions.
The side panels are equally display-worthy, with charming period illustrations advertising Borax for laundry, cloth diapers, refrigerators, dishes, household cleaning and more. The original top panel even retains its handwritten 25¢ price marking.
One-pound package. The box has been opened and approximately HALF of the original Borax remains inside.
Good vintage display condition with noticeable age and storage wear. The upper portion of the box has crushing, creasing, tearing and separation around the opening/flaps. Additional edge and corner wear, discoloration, scuffs and general surface wear are present throughout. Despite the wear, the main front and back advertising graphics remain attractive and highly legible. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
