Unique set of 2 round solid Brass candle holders ~ most likely for pillar candles. These unusual pieces are designed with \"pie crust\" fluted rim and slight oval texture on the center of each holder. The fluting appears to be hand crafted and shows slight brass wear. These pieces set up off table with a brass fitting that is threaded, so they may possibly be mounted on something sturdy. Each piece measures nearly 5 1/2\" in diameter and set nearly 1 1/4\" high (to rim). Center \"spike\" is close to 1 1/4\" high. These were acquired in the 1950s and carefully displayed and then stored. Have no clue where these were made, but the prior owner had a fondness for oriental art and from a military family, so they could have been acquired on travels overseas.
There does not appear to be candle wax but due to age, there is the expected brass discoloration and wear in some areas. They could use a gentle cleaning or buffing to enhance their beauty. One holder might be slightly irregular in shape most likely due to hand crafting ~ very faint and does not detract for the uniqueness of this set.
