Up for sale is an extremely rare, large-scale vintage mid-century Shanghai Handicrafts wicker cow basket (circa 1960s/1970s). Measuring 17 inches long by 9 inches tall, the cow is one of the absolute hardest-to-find animal forms from this highly collectible line.

Condition:

This piece is in perfect vintage condition minus the missing back lid. The woven reed body is flawlessly intact with no holes, or fraying. Carved wooden horns, eyes, and hooves are completely secure and undamaged.

Display Idea:

Because the structural silhouette is in pristine shape, the open back makes it a stunning, high-end bohemian tabletop planter for faux succulents or a unique catch-all basket.
