This listing is for a very early Simonds hand saw handle with the original early crescent moon and star medallion. Also included are the original saw nuts and screws. This medallion has the patent date - Dec. 27, 1887. This is the date the patent was granted to Charles Glover for this style of saw screw. We are including a copy of the saw screw patent with the handle and screws. The handle is not perfect and any imperfections are shown in the photos. A good early handle for your antique Simonds saw restoration.
